SHEilds is pleased to announce our new business partner in India. Mr Haridas Nair, Managing Director of DISS Doha Qatar is formally opening his latest business venture in New Delhi India to be named “Haris Industrial Safety Training or HIST, “Safety for All”.
The partnership with SHEilds and HIST in India comes after many years of working on business ventures in Qatar. Mike Shields and Mike Watson the owners of SHEilds are delighted with the agreement. Mike Shields stated “We are pleased with the agreement, having a local businessman and safety specialist on the ground in India will provide our clients and students with a more cohesive service” Mike Watson agreed and added that “the three of us have been friends and business partners for some time, it made perfect business sense to approach Hari with this venture”
HIST is now SHEilds Main Business Associate in India and will act on our behalf in all matters. The agreement was signed at a meeting in London between: Mike Watson, Patrick Frayne and Haridas Nair at the Regents Park Marriot Hotel. Mike Shields was unable to travel to the meeting due to the birth of his baby daughter Trinity, but had signed the agreement in advance.
The businessmen celebrated with a ride on the London Eye, an ambition of Haris, and a light meal at Gordon Ramsey’s Mayfair based restaurant 'Maze'

Businesses Associates visit SHEilds House United Kingdom
SHEilds welcomed Mr Suresh Kumar and Mr Haridas Nair to SHEilds House, Kingston upon Hull, UK. The Qatar and India based businessmen visited SHEilds as part of a knowledge exchange and Business Associates induction.
Mike Watson, Mike Shields and Patrick Frayne gained a great deal of knowledge of how the business sector works in India from the talks. Away from the business discussions Suresh and Haridas enjoyed some of the local attractions, such as the Humber Bridge, photograph below.
Mike Shields and Mike Watson are to visit India during May 2008 and take part in the opening ceremony of Mr Kumar’s MK Institute of Technology (Kerala) and his SHEilds Business Association.

SHEilds Ltd, one of the United Kingdoms and United Arab Emirates leading Health, Safety and Environmental training institutes is very pleased to announce its continuing business expansion into India.
SHEilds have today signed a five year contract with Mr Suresh Kumar of the MK Institute of Technology, based in Cochin & Bangalore in Southern India. The business partnership is part of a five region expansion plan that will provide professional and internationally accredited safety training in each region.
“It is our intention to ensure that a proper recognised qualification is available to all those who strive to be professional in the safety industry”, stated Mr Mike Watson, Managing Director of SHEilds.Â
SHEilds and MKIT are to work together in the delivery of eLearning and classroom based safety courses accredited and certificated through one of the worlds leading awarding bodies. SHEilds have in place in India designated accredited training centres with the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and in partnership with MKIT offer a range of qualifications designed to meet the health and safety, environmental and risk management needs of businesses and other places of work, both public and private sector. Not only useful, NEBOSH qualifications are internationally recognised, including by bodies such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
“NEBOSH's Certificate-level qualifications provide an excellent foundation in health and safety for managers, supervisors and other staff and employees with health and safety among their day-to-day responsibilities,” stated Mike Watson.
Mike Watson explained that SHEilds have a partnership in Doha, Qatar with Mr Haridas S Nair of DISS that was first established four years ago. It is this successful business model that will be used in India to ensure the success of all students.Â
